Where's my lighting intensity gone?

In VW 12 I was able to insert a lighting device and by working in either the properties toolbar or by double-clicking to bring up the device properties I could turn the instrument on or off and adjust the intensity. Now, in 2008, these are moved and I have an extra step in my process. Is there any way to get them back? I miss them and I'm lonely without them...

If we are talking about lights in lighting objects, use the Visualization Palette. Each light instance is listed (you can name them, too) and editing can be made on the fly via this palette.
