Daryl Wood
Does anyone know if there is a technique in VW to stretch the endpoints of 2d objects similar to ACAD's stretch command? Thanks Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Re-Shape Polygon Tool >select vertices>move by dragging or by Datum Quote Link to comment
jan15
There's also a stretch technique not similar to Autocad's: select the objects to be stretched, hit the Group command, then grab any of the 8 handles on the group and stretch it to a snap point, or by a distance typed on the keypad. Daryl Wood
The 2d reshape tool works to a point, just not what the ACAD stretch tool does. I'll just have to work around this limitation. Thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment
Guest
With the 2D reshape tool, marquee around the points you want to stretch, then pull on one of the vertices to "stetch" the polygon segment(s). Quote Link to comment
Drake
We use the technique indicated by Katie. It would be great if it had fewer steps (as ACAD does), perhaps just make it a tool. Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Have a look at Stretch from Vectorbits (It is in the VectorBITS section): http://www.vectorbits.com/ Quote Link to comment
beanus
dont foreget by holding down the Alt & AltGr keys you get additional selection methods for the points to be stretched Quote Link to comment
