Richard T
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change the width of a selected piece of text, or is this simple (and much needed) task still an impossibility? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Since at least Minicad 3+, you have been able to use the 2D Selection Tool (now with the reshape mode on) and select teh text block and drag the lower left handle to whatever width you want. Am I misunderstanding your question? Pat Quote Link to comment
bonus
What Richard means is probably the possibility to stretch the text itself, not the wrapping or the the box that limits the text extension. What you can do if it's just a special occasion, is to convert the fonts to lines. Select the text to modify, go to "text" menu>true type to polyline - then do as Pat suggests above. This way the text can be streched both ways, but will not be editable any more. Quote Link to comment
Richard T
Thanks bonus, I can use that technique to get round a specific case. However, greatly expanded text manipulation capabilities really need to be added to VW in my opinion. Quote Link to comment
