nowhereman
OK newby here. Is it possible to print a line drawing from a wireframe design? I am using Fundamentals and Renderworks 12.5 and I have designed an exhibit that was created with 3D symbols that the previous designer created. I am just learning VW by being thrown into the fire. I can print fully rendered views but cannot figure how to print line drawings for the exhibit exhibit Electrical and Floor Plans. Any suggestion and help greatly appreciated. I do love the power of this program and cannot wait to beable to harness it and not feel totally flustered. Thanks Mike Hickman Imagecraft Exhibits Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Check out Hidden Line Rendering. It should give the 3D line art you are looking for. VectorWorks will print whatever you have displayed on the screen, be it a rendered drawing or a wireframe. Pat Quote Link to comment
Tom G.
You'll want to get your view into a top "plan" view and out of any 3D views including top 3D view. Go to View>Standard Views>Top/Plan View to get the previous drawing to look correct for the addition of 2D info such as electrical layout, etc. Quote Link to comment
nowhereman
Thanks guys, the Hidden Line rendering worked to an extent, but I had many lines in shades of grey, some red and other colors. I merticulously went in (newbie here) and changed line colors, etc. So after review and taking a two day Vectorworks course this weekend, I find that all I really needed to do was to set my document settings to 'Black & White Only'. Thanks again for your responses. Michael Quote Link to comment
