leonarp
Windows XP Pro When I try to install SP2 it gets about 3/4 of the way and then pops up a box that says "Server responded: Huh?". What does that mean? Philip Quote Link to comment
Charles Chandler
This means that your firewall is too restrictive. The updater needs to communicate with the NNA server, to determine the latest updates for your installation. If this communication fails, the updater will fail. So to install this update, you'll have to relax the firewall restrictions until after the update has completed. Quote Link to comment
leonarp
Thanks for the response. I turned off the firewall and tried the SP2 update again but I still get the same "Huh?" popup box. Any other ideas? Thanks, Philip Quote Link to comment
Guest
After turning off the firewall, did you re-download the installer? Quote Link to comment
leonarp
OK I downloaded SP2 again with the firewall off and tried running it. It still gets to 88% of the install and give me the "Server responded: Huh?" popup. Philip Quote Link to comment
Guest
Do you perhaps connect through a proxy of some sort, or something else that attempts to manipulate pages? Quote Link to comment
leonarp
OK it has to be something on my network. I installed it on another PC on another network (different ISP) and it worked just fine. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Quote Link to comment
