Mark
I'm new at this and I've never had any training in drafting but I built houses for 13 years so I understand plans pretty well. How to I find the measurements for an object rather than the relative position of all the points? I can't seem to find that information anywhere. Let's say I draw a box in 3D space. Where/How can I find the size of the box? Many thanks Mark Quote Link to comment
Guest
Hi Mark. Perhaps the information you are looking for is in your Object Information Palette. It lists you x and y position in relation to your origin, the delta x and delta y (width and height), as well as the total area of your object. This information is dependant on which view you are in. I.e., if you are in top plan that portion of the polygon is what is dimensioned. If you are in front view, that is what is displayed. The exception is if you have a 2D object or cube. The cube will be total area and the 2D objects are only Top and Top/Plan applicable. For more information, please review your manual on the Object Information Palette. If you still have any questions, please feel free to contact the Nemetschek North America Technical Support team at (410)-290-5114 and we will be glad to help. ------------------ Brian O Nemetschek North America Technical Support [This message has been edited by Brian O (edited 07-10-2000).] Quote Link to comment
