Why do I not have any light symbols??

Hello

I Have just started to use this program.

And the first problem I get, is that I can not find out how to insert a lamp in my drawing.

When I highlight the lamp icon in spotlights tool sets, and clicking the mouse in my drawing. It just says NO ACTIVE SYMBOL DEFINITION. Why is that, and what am I doing wrong??

Make sure the bottom of the resource browser does not say "No Active Symbol" It can be tricky, some times it works best to right click on the symbol in the RB and select make active after the insertion tool is selected.

Also if you are only highlighting the symbol that will not make it active, double clicking on it or right clicking make active will though.

the instrument insertion tool is in the SP tool box on the left (intrument icon) and you need to click it before you insert an instrument from thr RB for it to be active. If you have already inserted a bunch without using the tool you can select them and go to modify - convert - convert to instruments.
