Petri
I'm out of my depth here... In RW (or Spotlight, for that matter), can we have a "Super Trooper" spotlight that would automatically always point to a named object? Please tell me that I'm an incompetent ignoramus! Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
I don't think there is a way to get the symbol to always point to an object, but in Spotlight, you can set a "Focus Point". The Spotlight lights can then be set to always point to the focus point. Yes, you can have more than one focus point in the scene. If you take your named object and placed a focus point wiht it and grouped them, then when you move the object and re-render, the light will follow the object. Pat Quote Link to comment
Guest
In Spotlight, a lighting device can be "aimed" at a point by setting a focus point. The focus point is defined using the focus point tool - click in the drawing to place, then set the height of the point. In the lighting device, select the focus point to associate the lighting device with. No matter the direction the lighting device is pointed, the light source in the lighting device will aim the beam to the focus point. Quote Link to comment
Petri
Great - thanks, Pat & Katie! (I thought this would be the case: that I'm the incompetent ignoramus.) Quote Link to comment
