File corruption+ VW8.5

I have several users on a mixture of B&W G3's (OS8.6) and G4's (OS9.04) all of whom experience file corruptions in VW(8.5.0). There doesn't seem a common thread ie size, complexity etc. Could anyone from Nemetschek suggest a strategy for find out the precise corruption. Is there a repair utility for analysing corrupted files etc. I have tested the network and traffic is within capacity and there is no packet loss. The only complication is the use of an NT server but frankly there have been no other file problems from other apps so I doubt this is the problem.

i have encountered the same problem in our office. we are also running on a mac system (some starmax 3000 w/os8.6 & g4's w/ os9) with an apple server. we have noticed that the problem tends to occur in files that have been translated from minicad7, or have parts that have been carried over from mc7 (i.e. symbols, details, etc.) other than that bit of info i do not have any solution except we try to avoid reusing the corrupted data.

I have at least one corrupted file; it was converted from Minicad and has actually been through more than one Minicad update. Symptoms are disappearing and immovable symbols (in one instance the symbols in walls turned grey and I could not delete or move them). It's a big file and I hate to start over.
