From a previous thread: http://techboard.nemetschek.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=9&Number=86906

If you are using Sheet Layers you can export all of the sheets to DWG in one go. What the recipient gets is the Sheet Layers as Paperspace Viewports. On the Model Layer they will get a Block for each Sheet Layer stacked one on top of each other. Each Block will be comprised of the Design Layers which made up that Sheet Layer. For the recipient to make use of the DWG drawing they will have to first move each of these blocks so they are spaced out sensibly in their model space and then explode them.

This confuses the hell out of the recipients and in reality very few of them are prepared to put in the effort required to make the drawings useable to themselves. Particularly when they are likely to have to repeat the process next time you issue the drawings to them. Its usually easier and less risky to just spend the time exporting each drawing by itself.

What is needed is the ability to batch export the Sheet Layers to individual files instead of one single file. This would make both the sender and the recipient happy.

There is a wish list item for this: http://techboard.nemetschek.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=12&Number=78346
