billtheia
In VW 12.5.2 I could use a Datum to draw walls in a specific location. If I knew that I needed a wall to start 24" from a given corner, I'd place the cursor on that corner and hit G (setting the datum.) Then I'd use the tab key to enter 24" in the data display bar. This would set my starting point 24" to the right of the existing corner. Then I'd just draw the wall that I needed. Now, in VW2008, I don't seem to be able to do this anymore. I can do it with lines but not with walls for some reason. Has anyone else run into this? Can someone help me figure out how to make this work in '08? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Seth / MG
I have also experienced this problem. When I attempt to draw walls this way, either the floating data bar does not display, or it is incorrectly drawn blank. I'm using VW2008 on winXP. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
you are correct. this is an issue with vw2008. until it is fixed, what about using the offset tool to offset your walls? Quote Link to comment
billtheia
Thanks, Jonathan. I'll give that a try. I was just drawing and moving as a workaround. Can Robert, or someone from NNA please confirm that this is a known bug and that it will be fixed in SP2? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
