Server running Epson RIP Pro 3.0 connected to an Epson 7400.
We need the RIP for queue control, as the Epson 7400 has no internal memory for dealing with jobs.
Problem:
I've seen it mentioned elsewhere on the board but still have no solution.
If we print with Quartz imaging on, job takes an age to process on the RIP and usually doesn't print at all!
Turn off QI and the job spools perfectly within seconds of being sent. Quality is dreadful though. Title block messed up, colors inconsistent, line thickness reduced, etc....
I've tried everything I can think of, and still no joy.
The PDF route kinda works, but we're not keen to go down this road.
All the workstations are Intel Macs. Server is also Intel Mac so could run Windows if a solution could be found.
