wall joining problems

why does VW 12.5 have so many problems with joining walls of varying thicknesses and components. I find myself going back to fix the same walls over and over again.

any tips out there?

I have also been spending way too much time repairing wall joins. Walls should not spontaneously break apart between drawing sessions. At first I thought using 2D reshape rather than ever dragging walls would help, but it hasn't. I hope someone has ideas on this.

I agree, this is annoying and shouldn't be happening in a mature CAD program. I have enough of my own mistakes to correct, let alone dealing with random ones created by a ghost.

Without substantive examples, NNA doesn't know what to fix.

I have encountered many difficulties when joining walls, and after a while, I discovered what's happening and how it works.

Many joins must be done in a certain order to be correct.

Wall joins shouldn't depend on each other.

one example:

1) you have an L shaped ext. wall.

2) you have a T join of an int. wall at the corner of the ext. walls.

3) you have a T join on one of the ext. walls.

If you make the second join first, then the third will not work.

To make them you'll need to do 1), then 3) and then 2).

now the stupid thing is that when you add a wall with a T join to the ext. walls, you'll have to break all the joins and remake them again!
