jnr
What does one have to do to import/export between the same version of Vectorworks (8.5.2) on PC and on Mac? Quote Link to comment
MikeB
If you go from Mac to Pc simply add a .mcd file extension to the end of the file name. To go from PC to Mac you have to open the file from within VW. So launch VW first and use the open file menu option. Then "save as" keeping the old file name and the Mac will write the resource fork so you can open the file by double clicking. Fortunately VectorWorks documents are completely cross format compatable. You will lose no information moving from PC to Mac or vice versa Good Luck Quote Link to comment

If the file is a template add .sta to the end of the file name rather than .mcd if it is going from MAC to WIN Quote Link to comment
