lineweight
So i am still a bit of a noob here, but i am curious why i am not capable of editing the class for my glazing in the window wall (3d modeling). I can change the frame/mullions to aluminum and get a dark frame, but my windows aren't transparent. I select the glazing class "glazing class-3" then edit that so the opacity is 10% or 4% or something, but the glazing still remains 100% opaque. Can anyone help? Quote Link to comment
Guest
The oppacity slider does not effect objects in 3D. You'll have to create a texture with the desired transparency, and make sure the glazing class is set to use it, just as you did with the aluminum. Quote Link to comment
Guest
What Mike says is true. You can also choose to set the glazing class to a "none" fill, which will mimic a glass texture (see right through the windows) but will not use a glass texture which will add to the rendering time. It is nice, however, to use a glass texture in the final render. Quote Link to comment
