alan tk
hi could someone please help me with a problem. i have some symbols that need editing and i can get into the symbol to edit it but the problem is that the symbol was made from an extrude then chamfered then i added a texture.if i want to change the height of the door frame i have to ungroup it which takes me from a chamfer to an extrude . i then change the height but then have to apply the chamfer all over again then the texture. the doors that i am doin are made of several parts like this and it is just as quick to start again from scratch. is there a way of speeding up this process by accessing the extrude without removing the chamfer and texture like in programs like solidworks or am i up a dirty creek without something to create motion alan Quote Link to comment
bc
Would it help next time (assuming there is a next) to extrude an already chamfered rectangle (polygon) instead of creating a subtracted solid? Would this give you the shape and you need with easier modification? Quote Link to comment
