How can assign finishes for elements in wall

I am new to Renderworks, do not know how to apply finishes for the VW 3d door & window plug-in wall symbol. Can anyone teach me how to do an alum door & window in a brick wall.

HI Bill

Q1 - The Doors and window parts usually have classes attached. You can edit the textures applied to objects using these classes in the Tools>Organization>Classes dialogue box.

Q2 - I don't believe the C4d integration began until VW2011 - try to export a 3ds file from VW 2010 and import that. Let us know how you get on.

Hi -

I am having trouble exporting my model in VW to the latest version of cinema 4d. My file exports as an empty file with zero kb.

Any hints or suggestions of where to look for more info especially re: work flow?

HI Barbara

If you have Renderworks, you should be able to use the command File > Send to CINEMA 4D. This will open your file in CINEMA directly.

Hi Barbara,

Is an empty layer active in Vectorworks when you do your export? Both File>Send to Cinema 4D and File>Export>Export Cinema 4D command only export the current active layer.

Thanks for all of the good suggestions - nothing has worked yet. I updated w/ SP1 and that took care of the frequent crashes. I'll reinstall VW and see if that doesn't help.

I had used a / in the name of one of my files, as in ...10/14....
