Hopefully, a complete re-coding of the entire 3D processes will eventually provide both dimensioning & associative dimensioning within a fully useable hybrid 2d/3d environment.

Bruce , we are kindred spirits when it comes to working primarily in 3d. However, using the Working Plane to check angles & dimensions is a real hassle. Then, and this is what really hurts ... since there's no 3d dimensioning ... 2d components must be created as fold-outs based on the Working Planes ... but if the 2d fold-out is included as part of a 3d Hybrid Symbol ... then the ability to rotate the Symbol in 3d Space is negated until the 2d is cut from the Symbol ... then after rotating the Symbol in 3d Space the 2d 'measurable surface' can be pasted back into the symbol, ad infinitum.

Here's the kicker ... VW allows extruding a fully dimensionable 2d Object into 3d Space ... but this process for some reason negates the dimensioning !

This suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks !
