Importing from Autocad 2007 into Vectorworks 2008

When I import from Autocad 2007 the drawing appears fairly correct. When I select the drawing it appears that it is "grouped" into the drawing that was in model space and separately the title block that was in paper space. I can only move these groupings and cannot edit the individual objects.

This not a real group because I cannot ungroup the objects.

It sounds like you are looking at the sheet layer with viewports.

Click on the Layers drop down box in the View bar and select the design layer with the name of the DWG file. Here you'll find all the original objects for editing.
