billtheia
Me again. Working on a 2 story building. Have a stair that is longer than the hole in the floor that it goes through. I drew a floor slab with the the correct size hole in it. The second floor plan, however, shows the stair full length rather than obscuring the last few treads as it would in reality. Is there a way to have the slab obscure the stair so that the second floor plan is correct? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
P Retondo
1) Make sure your floor slab is filled (check attributes palette). 2) Put the floor slab on a layer that is "above" the stairs. If everything is on one layer, send the stairs to the back. Quote Link to comment
billtheia
Thanks, Pete. I moved the stair to the slab layer and put it under the slab. Looks like that will work just fine. Took me a few passes to get it right but I think that I've got it licked now. It seems like VW should do this as a default - we are building a "virtual building," right? Would have been nice to have this work right out of the box. Anyway, thanks for the help. Quote Link to comment
