Tasfire
Hello! I am having trouble making my curves go through 3D space. Well, I can make them, but I haven't learned to control them and make them go where I want them, like have a path or something. Is there a special technique or shortcut for this? Thanks! Guest
There are a few ways. You can draw a polyline and convert it to a nurbs curve and move it around from there via the OIP. The object has to be a nurbs curve first. If you want a surface object, you can convert a 3d polygon solid to a nurbs surface. Select a surface and edit the u and v vertices and weights of the vertices to get the desired effect. You can also make a nurbs curve by placing a series of 3d locus points at coordinates across x,y,z planes. Using the Nurbs Curve tool in the 3d tool palette or 3d power pack tools palette (VW 9), and the NURBS Curve by Interpolation Points, clicking on each 3d locus point will connect the dots and make a nurbs curve. Again, you can edit the vertices in the OIP. OR you can just use the create Nurbs Tool and draw a freeform design. Quote Link to comment
