Ronin X
Does anyone know if the 2d light symbols affect the rendering of a model? I seems that when i render a model that includes the layer containing the 2d light symbols it's significantly darker. If i remove the layer the model renders much lighter. The symbols i used are from the Resource Browser and have a Brightness slider when viewed from a side of back/front view. I'm perplexed. Any info floating out there regarding this? Thanks in advance. Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted September 12, 2007 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 12, 2007 Hello Ronin: The symbols are likely hybrid, meaning that if you enter them while in a 3D view that you'll see a light object inside them. For rendering it doesn't matter what view you're in - if the symbol contains a light object it will use it. If the Obj Info palette shows a brightness slider then it has a light object inside it. AdrianW
Not sure if this is similar but I am just learning VW23 rendering and notice that when adding a point or spot light, the crude 2d symbol appears in the final render / camera window (if it happens to be located within the desired view. I wondered whether these symbols might be on a class I can switch off for rendering but then I expect the light effect will also switch off. Any help welcomed please.
