Bird
Hello, I have problem with rendering. I try to add the desired texture on the object, but for some reason when I render it doesn't show the wanted texture. Instead it shows everything as dark grey. - I tried the drag and drop procedure from resource browser to the object. Then render, not working. - I tried to use th way of selecting the object --> info palette /render tab --> mapping. Then render, not working - I tried to change to sun light perspective. Render, not working. Can anyone notice what's wrong?? I'd truly appreciate any help. Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
Posting the file or an image would help. Is it just one object or all objects? Quote Link to comment
Bird
I am using VectorWorks 12.5 own textures that came originally with the product. It shows on "object info" that it is texture. The weird thing is that with this VectorWorks it occasionally works and occasionally doesn't. Depends on the day. A puzzle to say the least. Quote Link to comment
Guest
What type of object is it? Certain objects behave different from other objects Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted September 18, 2007 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 18, 2007 Does the object you are rendering have a solid fill? This seems to be critical. Do you have anything set in the objects class? If the object is a wall, you will need to specify which parts of the wall take which texture. Hope that helps. Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted September 18, 2007 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 18, 2007 P.S. If the object is hardscape, you have to apply the texture through a class for it to show. Quote Link to comment
