Editable worksheet question

Here is one for those who do not export data.

When using the editable worksheet I group data by position and sort by unit number.

I use auto unit number toggle on the lighting position to assign unit numbers.

When I go to worksheet the order is not 1, 2 ,3 ,4 etc but 1, 10, 11 up to 19 the 2, 20 etc.

I spend more time trying to get the worksheet to play nice than I do completing the important and relevant information.

I do not want to export import into and out of Lightwright or excel any other ideas out there?

Try 01, 02 instead of 1, 2.

Editable worksheet sorts everything alphabeticaly.

I'm not sure it will let you use 01, 02, etc for channel or unit numbers. I know previous versions (10?) didn't.

Look at the bottom of the list of fields to include in the worksheet. If you include alt-chan in the editable worksheet as well as channel, and then tell it to sort by alt-chan, all will be well.

What it can't do is sort by two fields. ie You can't sort by both position and unit number.

Im not sure about this, i'll have to try it later, but if you can format those cells to be integers or numbers rather than general or alphabetic, that may help you.

In VW 12, using the editable worksheet, sort by the "Alt" fields, e.g. Alt-Chan or Alt-Unit.
