The Cantor Posted April 4, 2000 Share Posted April 4, 2000 I am currently using VW 8.5 on a Mac 8100/110 with a Maxpower G3 PDS and 96 mg ram. There is talk of 'upgrading' me to a Silicon Graphic (SGI) 320 Visual Workstation, or the new workstations due to ship in April consisting of Duel 700MHz Pentium 3 processors, 20+ gig 7500 rmp Hard disk, NVIDA GeForce 256 video card, and NT 4.0 sp4. Is anyone using VW on a SGI? Is it incredibly fast but unstable? Has anyone compared the two platforms? I have not worked in the PC world other than to get e-mail. Quote Link to comment
