Thumbnail Previews

This raises an interesting question, which is perhaps what Islandmon was intending to ask. Since CAD/BIM/Modeling programs are inherently "multi-view", which view is it you would capture to the preview?

-The last view (screenshot) saved?

-The first/last/designated sheet layer (or saved view)?

-or something else?

Xcoolexplorer is a freeware program that lets you preview many other types of CAD files. Alas Vectorworks isn't one of them. I'm reluctant to convert all of my 3d .dwg objects to Vectorworks because it is so much easier to browse them using Xcoolexplorer and then import them when needed.

Maybe someone will write something similar for .mcd files.
