former Revit user
Hello all, As the name implies I'm a recent convert and am always looking for ways of implementing revit "functionality/coordination" into my VW workflow - whether it be a plugin script or whatever other options are available. One such example; is there a way to reference or coordinate section/elevation/detail/etc. markers to the sheet they are on so that the sheet numbers change accordingly when I move the Reference Markers? Thanks for any help/advice/direction! Quote Link to comment
former Revit user
Wondering if anyone had any advice whatsoever, is there a simple way to do this, am I completely off base, is the question clear enough, should I change my name so as not to mention any other competition? Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted August 15, 2007 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted August 15, 2007 No problem with the "former Revit user", fRu. There is no way to currently automatically coordinate view designations. You can link views using the Section Viewport, but for the present you will have to synchronize view numbering yourself. former Revit user
Thanks a lot for the reply Robert, silence can be excruciating! Do you have any idea if or when this might occur and/or what the barriers are? Thanks again, Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted August 15, 2007 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted August 15, 2007 Well, I've been looking at the problem (and you can take heart that this kind of activity is always the start of progress . Within a single document, it's not a difficult problem. The problem occurs when you're linking documents together. At the current time, we don't have the communications infrastructure between files to make this easy. I think this will occur, but I can't say when. Quote Link to comment
