dhbrown
I have the viewport on my dwg rotated 90deg to fit properly, and all of the plant tags rotated also. That's fine. However, when I place the Plantlist on the dwg, I can not rotate it at all, by any means. Help...how do I make them agree?? Please don't tell me that I must shrink down the size of my viewport so that it will line up horizontally on the dwg in order for this to work. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
dspearman
Have you tried using a viewport for the plant list. Place the worksheet on a new design layer. Create a cropped viewport that shows only this layer it and then rotate the viewport. Quote Link to comment
dhbrown
I just tried this. It ends up giving my a grey box with no text in it. I tried de-selecting all classes except the one I put the plantlist on "Text". I even hid all the other layers except the one the plantlist is on. No luck. It did let me rotate it though. Marietta
If your plant list is a gray box, is it open at the time? Quote Link to comment
dhbrown
No. I double click it to see if I can edit annotations but it doesn't change at all...it's just a gray box with an X in it, within a viewport. Quote Link to comment
boxjoint
I think what Marietta is asking is whether or not you have the plant list worksheet open. When a worksheet is placed on a design layer as an object and then the worksheet is opened, the object on the drawing shows an X through it. This may be carrying forward into your viewport. If so, close the worksheet and update the viewport. Quote Link to comment
dhbrown
I follow you...I understand that part and no, the worksheet is not open. It doesn't act like a normal worksheet...it is simply a graphic, nothing editable. Good thought though...I'll try anything! Quote Link to comment
boxjoint
I just tried to rotate a viewported plant list and I see what you mean. Could you perhaps reformat your sheet layout from landscape to portrait to avoid having to rotate the viewport? Quote Link to comment
Thom
If I understand the issue correctly, this is an inherent problem in VW. One either needs to export out an Excel Spreadsheet and then reimport in to be able to change the rotation or go to VP Worksheet object at http://www.vectorplugins.com/ and get this plug-in. dhbrown
Well, we need to have all of our Titleblocks consistently facing the same way. That would be good though if we could. I'm hoping it's a quick fix so I can use it in the future. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
