Install on MacBook Pro never starts

jwlyon1

Question

I'm trying to install vectorworks on a MacBook Pro (Intel Core Duo 1.83mhz 2gb ram running OS X 10.4.9) from the disk. The disks are for version 12.0.0.

I put the disk in, and double click the install icon, according to the directions in the readme file. The icon does its zoom thing, and then nothing. It never asks for a serial number, never even seems to execute a process.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Is there a download that will do this?

The disks seem to be fine, as a test I just loaded it on a G5 powerpc mac running OS X 10.4.9 and it worked no problem.

If ordering new disks are the only option, I guess I'll email tech support...

Thanks.

jwlyon1-

There were issues with the 12 0 0 disks and certain drives were having problems reading them while others were not.

The VW 12 DVDs of the newer versions seem to work much better and do not pose the same problems as earlier version CDs.
