JT3
I am running VW 8.5 with mac OS 8.6. When panning across a drawing, the window will disappear behind a fuzzy/wavy pattern. By closing then opening the window it will clear up, but panning again will cause the problem again. Rebooting will fix this temporarily, but it usually comes back. Is this a redraw problem? Resolution issue? Quote Link to comment
Chuck
Refer to the numerous forum topics on this same issue under the pseudonyms of "barber pole" and "flying carpet" patterning. The issue is apparently to do with upgrading your ATI or other video cards/extensions/etc. I am still having fun in this area and am hoping the 8.5.2 update (a bugFix I noted in the 8.5.2 update notes) will correct the problem. Stay tuned . . . Quote Link to comment
RGyori
Having experienced the now infamous "barber pole" phenomenon I also had hopes for 8.5.2. Alas to no avail. Interestingly, the propblem occurs only on my Power Center Pro (with g3 card), not on my biege g3 or my 7500 (with same g3 card as the PCP). Updating the ATI drivers didn't work. Switching the screen res to 256 colors did work. Quote Link to comment
Chuck
Yep - 256 colours seems to be the only way out at the moment (until Diehlgraphsoft pull their combined fingers out!). How about it guys? I think ATI and other driver manufacturers have had enough bagging for 'their' problem, don't you? Quote Link to comment
