MikeB
I have a G4 400 with 256M ram. Ive been building a fairly conplex model for the last 2 day (6.5M) Ive notice that over the day it takes vectorworks a longer and longer to render in both the Quick Draw and Ray Maker Engins. If I shut down the computer and restart, I can render very quickly again, for awhile and then it beging to slow down again. Any body else have this problem? Quote Link to comment
doug shaffer
Yes. I have noticed that just quitting the program helps. Either way, I hope DG figures this one out. ------------------ d. s h a f f e r a r c h i t e c t k c m o u s a Quote Link to comment
julietbravo
Sounds like a memory leak! To find out, go to "About This Computer" in the Apple Menu and note the amount of System memory being used. Do this before opening VW. When VW starts to get sluggish, go back to the "About This..." from the Finder and see if it is showing a large increase. You might also need to increase the alotted amount of Ram for VW in the "Get Info" window (I suggest at least double the "Prefered" amount. You might also consider installing the max amount of SGRAM - Ram is pretty cheap right now. Chris Quote Link to comment
