Don Foster
I came back to Floor Plan layer and found all the door symbols were not "cutting" walls (as they had been) Deleted a door and inserted another and still wall lines were visible in door opening. Changed "draw wall lines" in info pallet on and off and no change. Closed and reopened drawing, quit and restarted VectorWorks: no joy. Very disconcerting. Any help? Thanks, Quote Link to comment
panthony
Check to make sure you might have duplicate copies of the walls where the doors are inserted to one copy while the other seems to show they are not. Select a wall and delete it...if there is still a wall there than you have a copy and will need to clean up your model. One of the ways this may have happened is if you accidently hold down the CTRL key and click the left mouse button at the same time...I've done it. Quote Link to comment
Guest
Check the OBJ INFO PALETTE to see if the door object says "Door" or "Door in Wall" If the object says "DOOR" then the doors are not sucked into the wall. If the object says "DOOR IN WALL" then the doors are sucked into the walls and there's likely a class visibility issue. Check to make sure the CEILING MAIN class is invisible and the SILLS class is visible. If these are reversed, or even Ceiling Main is set to be visible, then you'll see the wall lines. Don Foster
Yes! Ceiling Main did the trick. Thank you. Quote Link to comment
