Christiaan
I've attached a file. Can anyone tell me why my benchmark elevation figures don't correlate with the Y-axis in relation to my Origin? Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
you elevation benchmark seems to be using the page middle, not the zero in the y axis. One way to fix this is to use the option Use Control point then move the control point to a line at 0,0. This is just a bad workaround I?m afraid because it should work the way you want. Have you moved the origin of the page? Quote Link to comment

Jonathan Pickup
Katie, any opinion on this? Quote Link to comment
Guest
I suspect the origin change is throwing it off. It has a way of affecting a few plugins that way. Does it look like the value is off by the distance the origin was moved? Quote Link to comment

Gerard Jonker
Hi Christiaan, For a more elaborate answer please look at: http://vcor.net/wiki/index.php/Absolute_Origin An exellent article about the subject, if I may say so myself. :-) Despite the above sentence, all modesty disclaimers apply, Gerard Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
Robert, the use control point only only works if the elevation benchmark goes to the right. If you want it to go to the left the benchmark returns negative figures... Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted June 25, 2007 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted June 25, 2007 Jonathan, please submit this as a bug. In the meantime, you can get a workaround by using the mirror tool instead of simply drawing it from right to left. Quote Link to comment
