What am I doing wrong with Elevation Benchmark?

I've attached a file. Can anyone tell me why my benchmark elevation figures don't correlate with the Y-axis in relation to my Origin?

you elevation benchmark seems to be using the page middle, not the zero in the y axis. One way to fix this is to use the option

Use Control point

then move the control point to a line at 0,0. This is just a bad workaround I?m afraid because it should work the way you want.

I suspect the origin change is throwing it off.

It has a way of affecting a few plugins that way.

Does it look like the value is off by the distance the origin was moved?

Check the "Use control point" option and move the control point to your origin.

the use control point only only works if the elevation benchmark goes to the right.

If you want it to go to the left the benchmark returns negative figures...

Jonathan, please submit this as a bug. In the meantime, you can get a workaround by using the mirror tool instead of simply drawing it from right to left.
