I thought this would be a FAQ or an easy search but found nothing.
Ever since upgrading to 12.5, I've had an unusual lag when launching VW. It's about 40 seconds at best, sometimes over a minute. There's also the beach ball spinning. Occurs only at first launch after restarting or logging in. I thought it was a repair permissions or repair disk issue, so I've never worried about it.
Now after years of this after updating to the latest version of VW with literally hundreds of permissions repaired, disk repaired, system optimized, volume structure repaired, files defragmented, etc. -- many complete runs of the latest Techtool Pro from a separate boot disk -- I'm getting tired of it.
