HP T1100

HuntlyPO

Question

We are looking at finally replacing our ancient HP 500ps. We use Macs with OS 10.4 and are still limping along with VW11.5.

Anyone tried out the new NP T1100 plotter? Is it faster?

How about the embedded PostScript 3 RIP? Does that mean we don't need the T1100ps? not really sure what that all means. Help?

Suggestions?

Many thanks

Hello,

just wondering if you did upgrade to the T1100 and how it's working for you.

we are currently looking to do the same - currently have old HP 750Cplus (a workhorse but now too slow)

any thoughts you could provide would be helpfull

our office is also all Mac running 10.5 and VW 2008

thanks

Any more news on the T1100? Good/Bad? We are also planning on upgrading from the old 755cm. The specs say 35sec per page (24x36) in economy mode... is that correct? how is the quality in economy mode? How long do plots take in normal or high quality?

Can you plot using only black even if the color catridges are empty?

we recently bought the T1100 and it works well, we have 25+ macs networked and 3 PCs with no problems what so ever. prints quickly, and can achieve great colour quality.

economy mode is great for simple line drawings and BW prints, and it can print as quick as they say.

High quality prints do take their time, but are well worth it when you tweak everything to the max and use high quality paper. Its the best plotter i have ever used
