jeffroyer
How does one go about ensuring that layers referenced in with wgr are accurately aligned to the layers in the primary document? Quote Link to comment
P Retondo
Jeff, not quite sure I understand your question. (0,0,0) will be the same in both files. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
However, if you choose to offset the origin in File-B and then WGR into File-A which has the origin at the Drawing Center 000, then just as Pete indicates the Layer origins align to 000( Drawing center )... but if you had set-up of the File-B plans to use an offset origin ... then they will be out of alignment by the XY of the offset in File-A. jeffroyer
That's precisely the issue. Dealing with drawings from multiple consultants and multiple formats (anyone ever work with Softplan?). I think I have a better handle on how to get this done though. The main issue is the lack of a consistent common point to lock into the 0,0,0 point. thanks for the input Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Alignment of DXF/DWG imports requires the location and realignments of all the various coordinate centers ( usually lower left corner for ACAD ). Quote Link to comment
cbaarch
you create a layer link for the workgroup referenced layers that you bring in in 12.5.1 there is a query if you want to LL when you firt create the WGR at the bottom of the dialog box then you can locate/rotate/flip the layer link which will get updated when wgr is updated. cbaarch
forgot to mention you have to unlock you LL first to move it. Quote Link to comment
