Taproot
I'm working on a fairly large house with a complicated DTM - last I checked, the file size was over 300 MB. What suggestions do any of you have for reducing the size of files ... you know making them more compact so that they remain responsive? Thanks, Quote Link to comment
jfmarch
purge and perhaps use workgroup references. Quote Link to comment
cbaarch
If you have a lot of rendered views turn off cache viewports and save views with only the items needed when working on parts of the project Quote Link to comment
islandmon
If at all possible, WGR the survey & DTM Layers. Quote Link to comment
P Retondo
Good suggestions. I had a 350MB file that became 35MB after turning off "cache Viewports." The only problem is having to regenerate those viewports. I hope that at some point VW implements an incremental document save so that with adequate RAM we can deal with the larger file size.
