jeffroyer
I am getting an undesirable effect when inserting windows into curved walls. Two "fins" at either side of the window, just beyond the actual jamb, protrude out either side of the wall. They don't show in top/plan, only in 3d. See attached image for description Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
You image is a little small Jeff. Can you try making it bigger, and use jpeg, png or gif rather than tiff. Tiff is not a good internet format (too large). Quote Link to comment
jeffroyer
Yes, that was a touch small! Should have previewed. I have attached another, this time as wireframe since it better illustrates the problem. I duplicated the issue in a clean file to verify it wasn't file specific. Quote Link to comment
Guest
That is probably a bug and should be sent to both tech@nemetschek.net and bugsubmit@nemetschek.net Quote Link to comment
Kevin
I have experienced the same problem and submitted it to tech support a few weeks ago. Their solution is to uncheck "Use Wall Thickness" and set the jamb dimension manually. As a workaround, it worked for me. But I agree with Katie that this is a bug. Quote Link to comment
jeffroyer
thanks all. thanks for the workaround Kevin. Funny thing is that I do have to specify the wall thickness anyway for my detailing but just hadn't gotten to that yet. Jeff Quote Link to comment
Kevin
You are welcome. I guess I should have mentioned that I had to set the jambs to zero depth to get them to work. A far cry from the five inch thickness of the wall. Quote Link to comment
jeffroyer
thanks. Just came back to say "it didn't work"! Setting to 0 took care of it though. Quote Link to comment
