Computing Requirements

Hello All,

I have been asked to spec out some computers (Pcs) for a lab which will run VW designer + Renderworks. I am trying to find...anywhere...the minimum requirements and the preferred setup for running the program!

Any responses would be appreciated!

minimum system requirements are the minimum, they are not for general office requiermants.

my suggested minimum requirements would be:

2GB Ram

1280x1024 screen

fastest processor you can afford.

Dont forget a decent video card (Dont rely of onboard video processors) with independant ram...minimum I'd go for here now is 256...more if you can afford it.

I would go for a bigger screen than 1280 wide. 1280 is not very big once you add all the tool boxes and palettes. The extra money on getting a 1600 wide screen - or bigger will give you the best bang for your buck in terms of working efficiency in real terms (more than processor speed, in my opinion), and will make for a more pleasant working experience.
