As there is no rational reason to not print paterns as drawn when using Quartz

imaging for example (if someone draws a patern vs a color vs a hatch); print them that way; it's not that complicated. (and would be nice if the printing preferences such as page size wouldn't randomly change when printing, and

would be nice if the program didn't modify the default printing preferences for the whole machine, when ever printing from within vector works, it shouldn't).

the size of the page changes when printing on another printer. try setting the printing options before starting a document, that way you'll have the correct page size
