RG Architects
Hello Our pratice is currently learing the ropes of V12. My query is whether V12 has a facility where by you can set up a base drawing that multiple users can access? Basically x-refs as used in AutoCAD? ANy help is appreciated Adrian Quote Link to comment
ionw
look into workgroup referencing. a search in the manual, or here on the forums, also search for the acronym WGR. You will find extensive information on using this tool. It is not an exact replication of x-ref, but definitely allows multiple users to work on the same file. ion Quote Link to comment

Jonathan Pickup
Adrian, WGR is what you want, but proceed with care. They are very powerful but have to be used in very specific ways. Quote Link to comment
dcont
VW can act very similar to AutoCAD in this and many other respects. WGR do work like xrefs if you set them up that way. We have our reference path going in the opposite direction so that we do not end up with a ton of files that would have to be open individually to print a set of a project. eas
Remember that (as I see it) the fundamental difference between an Xref and a WGR is that in VW the referenced file is _in_ your drawing. So you never bind. Quote Link to comment
