Better search engine

If it were possible, the search function on the board could stand some improvement. 1) It's better for the search to return whole threads, not multiple posts from a single thread - this system bloats the search results and makes it harder to find things. The results could expand to show the individual posts that mention the search term, but bascially something analogous to the summary display of the current forums would be best. 2) Search on multiple terms with boolean operators.

I would second this motion. (Now if we could just encourage new users to utilize the *improved* search function, they might find more answers, quicker. . .and Pete wouldn't have to repeat himself as often.)

It would also help If all users would add information to their signature regarding computer type, operating system & version of VectorWorks. Maybe Nemetschek could add boxes for this to Profile of the Personal Information.

Bruce, this is a minor aside, but when we change our signatures, all of our old posts' signatures are updated. So where a discussion earlier in the year may have involved version 11, if you are now on version 12 the signature on the post can be misleading.
