madgardenr522
I'm new to these forums and did a search first, but I didn't find anything on this question. I have a survey of a property that I have scanned for importing into a VW file (I'm using VW12.5.1 on a Windows XP Professional system) but just realized that the scale is 1" = 80' on the scanned plat. That scale doesn't show up on the standard engineering or metric scale options when you are designating a layer's scale. How do I create the scale I need for the scan layer? Thanks in advance, from someone who's a relative newbie at VW. Quote Link to comment
ionw
In the layer scale dialog, near the bottom right, you will ss a number entry box. if you click in say 1" = 40'0" you will see it reads 480. Double that to 960 and enter that, and voila you have 1"=80'. also like almost every entry point in VW you can simply put after the value *2 (means times two) to get the value instead of doing the math manually. islandmon
This little fundamental scale feature... often overlooked ...provides tremendous platform adaptability. Quote Link to comment
