crash on autosave

from what we can tell when VW 12.5.1 autosaves we are at times getting a full crash - Networked PC lab - saving file to the local drive not to the server seems to help some

any suggestions?

I have had this problem several times on 12.5.0 and 12.5.1 with our networked pc system. I posted this problem in Post 74794 dealing with corruption issues. Not only did it crash, the file would become corrupted.I was able to send one of my screwed up files to Nametschek and they fixed it, but were not certain about the why it's doing that. Hopefully someone is listening, I understand there is a bug on the mac side as well, but under diffrent circumstance.

I strongly encourage you to contact tech support directly - they can escalate this up to the engineering team to ensure it's resolved in a speedy time frame.

so if I turn off autosave the problem goes away - is this something that will be fixed soon or should we go back to 12.0?? leaving autosave off is not a fix with 30 1st year students

Katie -think that is a different issue since I'm getting the crash on a PC - if I have autosave on it crashes when the time to save arrives

Katie - the reason I keep posting on here is that I did contact tech and they sent me stuff that indicated that they did not even read my email - then when I wrote back with further info they never respoded - but guesss since I seem to be the only one with this issue I'll just roll back to ver. 12 and wait to see if the next ver. has a fix
