michaelk
This is probably really stupid and obvious, but... Is there a way to set the viewports so they don't need to be updated every time I close and reopen a document? The rendering time is no fun. Vectorworks, Inc Employee Andrew Bell@NV Posted March 30, 2007 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 30, 2007 Under Document Preferences, check Save Viewport Cache . It'll save the rendering for all viewports with the file. Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee Andrew Bell@NV Posted April 9, 2007 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 9, 2007 I have been trying to create a section viewport. I have followed the directions in VW help and VW crashes. Get in contact with tech support. Crashes are almost never the result of user mistakes. It could be an issue with your machine, or it could be a VectorWorks problem, in which case we'd like to get more info from you so we can fix it. Quote Link to comment
Jim_Allen
Katie, I don't get any message. After I draw the section line I get the: Create Setion Viewport window - I accept the default settings and click OK and I get the: New Sheet Layer window - I name it VP and Click OK. The window dissapears and I get the hourglass and the program has crashed. I have to go to the task manager and force close the program. I am in the "top/plan" view Jim Quote Link to comment
Guest
How long do you wait before you force quit? I don't think it's crashing, since no error message displays. Some models take some time to generate the section viewport. Quote Link to comment
Jim_Allen
I guess I didn't wait long enough - it took 22 minutes to do its thing Quote Link to comment
