To enter information to be calculated for DTM you can use the "3D Locus" tool to place points on the screen. Once you place the 3D locus you can then give them a height by going to the object info palette and entering a Z value. Or you can use 2D polygons and draw the contours in 2D and then use the "2D polys to 3D contours" command that is located in the DTM menu.
