Don@Black Dog
I have a platform-U stair to which I would like to add a short flight at another side of the landing. How can I do this? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
How about using a second stair object? Quote Link to comment
Don@Black Dog
Thanks, Pete. I did, but if I put the railings in for modeling, they go around the landing (see previous posts NNA) so look silly at the added flight. If there was a way to leave out or cut the railings at the landings, I would be a happier camper. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
This is a fairly common, yet still unique situation. You might try modeling the railings separately for the stairs. Takes a bit of time, but worthwhile... Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Blackdogarch, why not do it the way Peter suggests. Model the stair with 3 separate stair flights and use a floor object for the landing. That way when you apply the railings they will only be to each of the three separate flights. Quote Link to comment
Don@Black Dog
Good idea(s). The only (minor)drawback is not being able to use the stair tool to automatically figure out the necessary rises and detail the stair in one fell swoop, but no big deal. Most excellent! Thanks! Quote Link to comment
