Night time landscape

How

Recommended Posts

I am trying to render a landscape with night settings. It is a simple layout with a few trees and 3 spot lights, very similar to street lighting and i need to show the effects of these lights at night

I have tried turning off the ambient light and that makes the ground dark but i still have a light grey sky and the trees glow when they are in shaddow...

Any help / advice apreciated

To repeat islandmon: - are you using anything as sky object or a RW Background?

If you are using image props for the trees it sounds like they were created using Contant reflectivity, which will cause them to not change brightness when they are in shadow. You can either re-create them with that option unchecked, or go to the texture resources that the props use and change the Constant reflectivity shader to None.
