importing dwg files

Check to see if the text is inside proxy objects (you'll need to contact your associate for that info)

Are the dimensions on design layers or sheet layers when you import the file?

What version of VW and DWG file are you trying to use?

If the "text" is stored in xrefs, and the xrefs have not been bound to the file, you'll need all the files composing the one drawing file (file plus referenced files) to import correctly into VectorWorks. Once you have the suite of files, use the batch import option to bring in all the information.

Otherwise, ask them to bind the xrefs.
