dontevenjoke
I get a message saying - Make sure "VW Help" folder is in the same folder as the application. I can see the Help folder, but, could you confirm which folder it should be in, please. Quote Link to comment
vsd
In your VectorWorks Folder: C:\Programs\VectorWorks xx\VWHelp Quote Link to comment
dontevenjoke
That is where my help file is located. Does anyone know why I'm getting that message, and/or can I get the address of the Help files on the web, please. Many thanks, Quote Link to comment
islandmon
You may need to quit VW, then trash your VW preference file ( 1st noting your reg# ). Quote Link to comment
dontevenjoke
Do you mean to reinstall VW completely? And how do I trash the preference file? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Guest
I think Islandmon is referring to the registry entries since you are on a PC. Let's try this first -- open your browser (BTW - which browser are you using?) Then go to File > Open Locate the help file in your VW folder and click ok. Does the help file open? dontevenjoke
Thanks Katie, I found the problem, I didn't have IE as my default browser, and so it couldn't use it to display files. Thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment
G_Hannigan
Just curious, which browser were you using? Help File works fine for me with Firefox 2.0.0.2. Quote Link to comment
dontevenjoke
I have been using Netscape and it was fine, but I changed to IE7 and failed to set as default. Quote Link to comment
